Title: New crisis in cosmology: The Hubble tension

Abstract: Measuring the Hubble constant has always been an important mission in cosmology. In recent years, the late-universe (local) measurements of the Hubble constant disagree with the prediction made from the standard model of cosmology based on the early-universe observations at the level of about 4-6 standard deviations, which has become a new crisis in cosmology. The Hubble tension implies that some cracks might exist in the present standard model of cosmology, and so new physics is sought for mending the cosmology. In this talk, I will focus on the issue concerning the tensions appeared between the measurements from the early and late universe, in particular the problem of the Hubble tension. I will also discuss the importance of cosmological parameter measurements and outlook the future new cosmological probes.
