報(bào)告摘要

The dominance of dark matter over baryonic matter in the universe hints at a rich and unexplored dark sector, with the QCD axion emerging as a highly motivated dark matter candidate. We explore the scenario where the Peccei-Quinn (PQ) symmetry, crucial to axion cosmology, remains unbroken during inflation, even with a high axion decay constant. This expands the parameter space for QCD axion dark matter, aligning it with high-scale inflation models and evading traditional constraints on axion isocurvature perturbations. Building on this, we introduce valuable primordial observables for axion isocurvature, especially their hybrid (bi)spectra. They offer insights into axion-inflaton interactions and the early universe's dynamics involving heavy states that are challenging to probe in other methods. These observables, including correlated signals in curvature and isocurvature spectra, present a unique opportunity to probe the dark sector.

Lingfeng Li received his BS in Chemistry and Physics in 2013 from Peking University, followed by his PhD in Theoretical High Energy Physics from University of California, Davis in 2018 under the supervision of Prof. Hsin-Chia Cheng. Then he joined HKUST IAS as a Postdoctoral Fellow till 2021. Currently, he works as a postdoc at Brown University. He is interested in various models that leave all sorts of signatures in collider phenomenology, cosmology and astrophysics.
