報(bào)告題目:A Basic Framework for Spin-Orbital Theory – Promoting the hierarchical framework compatible with tracking codes in my “blue book”

  報(bào)告摘要:

Thes:eaker has developed a theory of normal form analysis for spin-orbital motion and its implementation in the FPP-PTC code, this approach empowers extracting from a real tracking code the Hamiltonian as well as linear/nonlinear properties of spin-orbital motion from an accelerator lattice in a hierarchical and natural manner. In contrast, the standard accelerator theories are fragmented and not able to properly treat “seemingly complicated” tasks like computing the strength of a higher-order spin-orbital resonance. In this seminar, the speaker will give a brief introduction to the basic framework for spin-orbital theory, to promote the hierarchical framework compatible with tracking codes described in his book – “From Tracking Code to Analysis”.

  報(bào)告人簡(jiǎn)介:

Patri:e Nishikawa aka Etienne Forest obtained his Ph.D. Degree in Physics in University of Maryland in 1984 under Prof. A. Dragt and then worked at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory before becoming a professor at KEK and Graduate University for Advanced Studies in 1995. His major contribution is to have popularized symplectic integration and perturbation theory based on Taylor maps in the accelerator field, as well as promoting a new beam line structure for accelerator modelling, and his code FPP-PTC is an implementation of his idea to integrate these three aspects together, which is now embedded in several widely used accelerator simulation codes BMAD, MADX and ORBIT. Besides, he has authored two books “Beam Dynamics: A New Attitude and Framework” and “From Tracking Code to Analysis”.
